Augustus B. Jewell passed away on Sunday May 8, 2011 at the Glen Ridge Nursing Care Center in Medford after a  period of  declining health.  He was 86 years of age.  Mr. Jewell was born, raised and educated in Malden. He was U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater during the War . He worked as a House Painter for many years. Mr. Jewell was the husband of the late Faye (Perry) Jewell. He was the devoted father of  five children, Robert Jewell and his wife Linda of Everett, Linda Preziosa and her husband John of Melrose, Sandra Chin and her husband Jerry of Medford, Patty Jewell of Winthrop and Sheila Jewell of Saugus. He also leaves his long time friend Nancy McInnis. He was the brother of the late Charles Jewell, Florence Jewell and Wilma Reagan. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was the loving uncle of Diane and Billy Reagan. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to call at the Funeral Home Wednesday morning May 11 from 8:30am with  a Funeral Service to be conducted at 11:00AM . Interment with Military Honors will immediatly follow the Service in the Forest Dale Cemetery Malden - Veterans Lot.
